Next week is National Foreign Language Week! It is a week to show appreciation for world languages. All the foreign languages are getting together to celebrate this week and are hosting some pretty cool events.
Monday- Will be a short daily announcement of a “borrowed word or phrase” that tells the story of one of the thousands of foreign words and phrases that have come into common English, so for example ‘angst’ (German), apropos (French), pajamas (Persian).
Their will be a trivia question of the day that can be answered by studnets, staff, and faculty. The winner from each group will receive a prize.
A wall scrabble outside some of the class rooms in the foreign language hallways for people to come out and play.
The world language club members will be watching foreign moves after school all next week.
Monday is ASL, Tuesday is French, Thursday is Spanish and Friday is German!
